As a child I was able to travel extensively due to my parents occupations. My Dad was a rig superintendent on offshore oil platforms and my Mom was a teacher which left us most of the summers and holidays to travel. Not only did my family take the requisite cross country trip in our over packed sedan stopping at many of our amazing National parks and of course Disneyland but we were also blessed with being able to live abroad. Living in places like Bogota, Columbia; Quito, Ecuador; London, England and many other stops along the way was an enrichment for my youth. I was able to experience different cultures and histories that no text book could ever convey.

Fast forward a few years to adult life and the Fairy Tale continued, but in a different way. In 2003, I married my Prince Charming at the Happiest Place on Earth. We are a blended family of three kids. Walt Disney World was the perfect place for our families to join together. Not only did we have an amazing and beautiful wedding but our kids were able to spend an entire week together getting to know each other, riding the attractions, and eating delicious food.

Since then we have taken multiple trips to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Universal Orlando Resort. We have traveled as a couple, with our kids, and with extended family (ranging from 12 to 18 people traveling together). During this time I was always helping friends and family plan their trips and answering questions for them. Then in 2015 after several friends and family had asked me, “You are so good at helping people with planning their vacations why don’t you become a travel agent?” I decided to take the leap and began my research of travel agencies that specialized in Disney Destinations.

With all my research I have to say that God knew what was best for me. While posting in an online forum, in which someone had asked “How do I become a travel agent?” there were lots of replies; many of them negative. By nature I am an optimist and responded that “if you truly believed in something and had a passion for it anything was possible”. It just happened that the best agency owner, in my opinion, was also on the boards and saw my reply. Nancy Ware, owner of Dream Departures Travel invited me for an interview. It was meant to be and I had found my travel agency family.

As your travel agent I am dedicated to being the very best I can. Walt Disney once said, “The greatest moments in life are not concerned with selfish achievements but rather the things we do for the people we love and esteem and whose respect we need.’ It is truly my honor and pleasure to be able to work with your family to create your DREAM vacation. That is why I continually strive to improve my knowledge and skills to provide the very best travel planning experience for you. Since 2015 I have completed the Disney College of Knowledge (which must be updated every year), each Hawaii Island specialist training along with the Hawaii Destination Specialist, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line University’s Bachelor of Adventure, Bahamas Specialist, Jamaica Specialist, Atlantis Ambassador, Vancouver Specialist Program, and Universal Orlando Resort’s Specialist Program.

In January 2019 my husband, Dave, and I took on a new adventure and opportunity for me to improve my knowledge of domestic vacation destinations. We hit the road and now travel full time. We have spent much of the spring along the southern coast line and in Florida visiting places like New Orleans Louisiana, Gulf Shores Alabama, Panama City Florida, Tampa/St Petersburg Florida, Orlando Florida, Cocoa Beach Florida. Our plans for future travel include Fort Lauderdale Florida, Key West Florida, San Diego California, Anaheim California, Portland Oregon, Seattle Washington, Vancouver British Columbia and many more. By traveling throughout the US, Caribbean and Mexico this allows me to visit cruise ports, hotels, resorts, restaurants, and activities that you may be interested in so that I can report to you first hand my thoughts and experiences.

I really do have my DREAM job working for Dream Departures Travel an agency and team that I am proud to call family. Whether we are talking during your Dream Vacation Planning Session, I am preparing your vacation proposals, or we are discussing your itinerary, it brings me such joy to be able to help you and your family make cherished memories. It warms my heart and brings a smile to my face when a client returns and tells me of their magical vacation and thanks me for the work I have done. This is my Fairy Tale in real life 24/7 I am living it.

Thank you for letting me share my story with you. I am looking forward to talking to you soon and sharing in your families Magical Vacations and Cherished Memories.
